Kansas Construction News Report
Start – Up: October 1, 1980
During this exciting time in our history, two people with deep roots in Wichita, Kansas wanted to serve the construction industry in Kansas and some of the adjoining states. Their previous work experiences left them with the desire and determination to start a business they were familiar with, a publication on commercial construction, along with a plan room.  The partners also knew they wanted to do this on their own, and not be affiliated with any other service, which is the same today. They received cooperation from various owners, architects, and engineers in the state of Kansas, as well as the companies who took a chance in committing to take the service that was being offered. Without all these firms, Kansas Construction News Report would not be where it is today.

The goal and promise the partners made between themselves was very simple, good, steadfast, and fair. Treat our sources and subscribers well, with honesty and with respect. Verify information before issuing a project for publication. Provide a comfortable atmosphere for the plan room and easy accessibility to the projects and personnel who are and who want to be of service to our clients and sources. Have fresh coffee every day and Friday is Donut Day. The office and plan room is easily accessible from downtown or from Kellogg (US54). It has lots of free parking. Subscribers of Kansas Construction News Report have always been #1 Priority and that will continue. The business friendships that have been made over the years continue. New business friendships are just beginning. These are all at the heart of business success.

The construction industry has had many different facets. Sometimes it has been scary and strange. Most of all, it’s been interesting. The cooperation that we have received, which comes from various sources, is the contributing factor to the publication of our bulletin. All these have our gratitude, our appreciation and our respect for their help in making our publication a success.

Laura Robben and Charles Maddox have been partners since October 1, 1980. A partnership that has endured many seasons of change, but continues forward. They both enjoy their work, the people they talk with, and the people they serve. They look forward to many more years in the business.

Kansas Construction News Report, is locally owned – with no association with any other service like their own.
